    Description

    Gemini 7 Flown Crew-Signed and Certified "Robert H. Goddard" Plate Block with Handwritten Letter of Provenance and Transmittal from Mission Command Pilot Frank Borman. A block of four 8¢ Air Mail stamps signed and certified by the mission commander: "Aboard Gemini VII Dec 4-18 1965/ Frank Borman/ 330 hrs 35 min/ in space" and signed by the pilot: "James Lovell". The accompanying letter, on a plain 8" x 10.5" sheet reads in full: "Dear Mrs. Sakowitz, I hope we signed in the proper place. Please give my best to Bob & Mr. Sakowitz and a Happy 1966. Sincerely, Frank Borman". Letter with mailing folds, stamps excellent. From the collection of Robert T. Sakowitz.
