DescriptionGemini 4 Flown 1910 U.S. $2½ Gold Coin Originally from the Collection of Mission Command Pilot Jim McDivitt, with COA. This gold Indian Head quarter eagle was carried along on the Gemini 4 mission in which Ed White performed the first American space walk (EVA). An excellent space-flown relic that should appeal to both space and coin collectors. Nice condition. From the Steven R. Belasco Collection of Space Memorabilia.
Included with this lot is a Novaspace Certificate of Authenticity signed by McDivitt stating, in full: "I certify that this 1910 $2.5 gold coin was flown in space aboard Gemini IV in 1965. It is from my personal collection and recently presented to Novaspace for dispersal to collectors of artifacts from the great 'space race' and the golden era of space exploration."
