Gemini 3-9A: Collection of Original Glossy Photos from the Collection of a NASA Photo Librarian. A great group of thirteen 8" x 10" photos. Seven of the nine color photos (all with captions on verso) are of the scarce and desirable "red number" variety, as follows:
S-65-20742 (red number): Gemini 3 liftoff (tear at left margin).
    S-65-29644: Gemini 4 crew at Pad 19.
S-65-29647: Gemini 4 crew in the white room.
S-65-60037 (red number): Mission Control Center during Gemini 7.
S-65-61838 (red number): Gemini 7 liftoff.
S-65-63169 (red number): Gemini 7 spacecraft from Gemini 6A during rendezvous (tears along bottom edge).
S-66-34075 (red number): Gemini 9A crew leaving suiting trailer.
S-66-54456 (red number): Gemini 9A Richard Gordon EVA.
S-66-54585 (red number): Agena Target Vehicle from Gemini 9A, post-tethering.
These photos are generally in excellent condition save for some attached shreds of paper on the fronts. This was caused by the photos sticking together from years of storage in Houston's (in)famous humidity and should be easily mitigated. All images are available for viewing online.

Also included are two B&W photos, S-65-19544 and S-65-19546, showing the crowds at the Manned Spacecraft Center during the visit of President Johnson on June 11, 1965. Two other photos are not numbered or captioned. B&W photos in excellent condition.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
