    Description

Gemini 12 Flown Large-Size Texas State Flag Signed by and from the Personal Collection of Mission Command Pilot James Lovell. A silk Lone Star flag, 17" x 11" in size, which was carried aboard the 1966 flight of Gemini 12, the last mission of that program. Lovell has signed the flag on the red bar, "Flown on board Gemini 12 James Lovell". The larger size and impeccable provenance from the command pilot of the flight make this an item worthy of the finest space collections. Excellent condition with folds.

This lot includes a signed Letter of Authenticity from Lovell stating that, "[This item] was flown on board Gemini 12 spacecraft. Gemini 12 launched in November of 1966 was the tenth and final flight of the Gemini series, which bridged the Mercury and Apollo programs."
