    Description

    Gemini 11 Flown Star Chart Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Pilot Richard Gordon, Signed and Certified, with Signed COA. A double-sided "Gemini Celestial Display Device" as prepared by the U.S. Army Map Service, Edition 2-AMS, dated October 1965, with a Serial Number of "CF55061-2". The 6.5" x 11" transparent plastic sleeve is printed with the path of the ascending node for an "89 Minute Orbital Period" at "28º 30' Inclination". The star map insert folds out to 18"; it is signed: "Star chart used on/ Gemini XI/ Richard Gordon". Very fine condition. From the Steven R. Belasco Collection of Space Memorabilia.

    Included with this lot is a signed Certificate of Authenticity from Gordon stating, in full: "I hereby certify that this Flown Star Chart is from my personal collection and was flown aboard and used by me to navigate the Gemini GR-11 mission."
