Doctor Donald E. "Doc" Stullken, NASA's Chief of Recovery Operations Branch, Archive from His Estate. From Mercury through Skylab, Doc Stullken was often the first person the astronauts would see as they stepped onto the ship from the recovery helicopter. That's not to mention that he was the one who invented the Mercury Auxiliary Flotation Collar usually referred to as "The Stullken Collar" (a photocopy of 1962 "Roundup" with long article and photos of the test is included in this lot). From his estate, here are several very collectible pieces of memorabilia. Includes the following.
Apollo 6: Three large original color mission orbit charts- "Revolutions 1 & 2" and "Revolution 3" (two copies).
Apollo 12: Three great original charts- "Apollo Lunar Orbit Chart (ALO)", "Apollo Translunar/ Transearth Trajectory Plotting Chart (ATT)", and "LM Descent Monitoring Chart - LMD (PDI to Landing)".
White Sands: "Apollo S/C-002" laminated badge; "Apollo Pad Abort Test 1" personalized paper badge.
Manned Spacecraft Center: "NASA MSC MCC-Houston Apollo Mission 12" laminated personalized badge.
US Naval Base Pearl Harbor: "Temporary Pass good until 26 August 1966" personalized paper badge.
Miscellaneous: A 3" wide name badge "STULLKEN"; his dog tag, a Gemini lapel pin, a "Representing NASA" paper badge, a medical corps lapel pin, and a ribbon badge.
A nice grouping from a NASA legend. Various photos and biographical information included. Generally fine.
