    Impeccably-provenanced spaceflown glove

Cosmonaut Yury Usachev's ISS EO-2 Flown Soyuz Spacesuit Glove, Originally from His Personal Collection. This is the right hand glove with liner worn by him on board the International Space Station Expedition 2, a long-duration mission that he commanded, March to August 2001, along with astronauts Susan Helms and James Voss. They were launched to the ISS on Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-102) and returned on STS-105. His initials in Cyrillic are on the palm side near the wrist and the all-important ISS stamp is on the other side near the strap. This glove flew over sixty-nine million miles in space! Glove is in lightly worn but very fine condition.

This is an unquestionably-authentic flown glove. Included with it are three items giving it excellent provenance.
Letter of Authenticity: Handwritten, signed, and notarized on his letterhead, it states: "This glove is from my personal/ collection and it is one of those/ that I used during the 2nd/ mission on the ISS for redocking/ 'Soyuz' spacecraft".
Two Signed Photos: One shows Yuri wearing the glove and is signed the same as the LOA. The other is a photo of the glove and liner and is signed both in Cyrillic characters and in English. Both are 8" x 10" and in color.
    Excellent for display.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
