Description

    Buzz Aldrin, United States Military Academy, West Point, Semi-Dress Uniform Jacket. The jacket bears the original tag from the Cadet Store, West Point and the stamped name "Aldrin, E.E.". It also has size notations, "19-38-32-40-17-27-16!". The gray wool jacket is trimmed down the front, around the bottom, and up the back with black mohair braid one inch wide. There are bullion stars at the collar. The rank chevrons have been removed. There is one large and three small bands of cuff braid. The jacket measurements are: across the shoulders, 18"; outer sleeve length, 24"; and, down the back, 26.5". In 1951, Buzz Aldrin graduated with honors and third in his class from the United States Military Academy. This uniform, worn by the first USMA graduate on the moon, is in excellent condition. From the personal collection of Dr. Buzz Aldrin and accompanied by a signed Letter of Authenticity from him.
