A massive 3" diameter x 0.3125" thick gold-colored medal in a custom case with "'A Journey Beyond' Closing Bell Ceremony July 13, 2009" engraved on the front beneath a "Bull and Bear" image and "The New York Stock Exchange 1792" on the back next to an image of the building. Also, a 3.625" x 2" goldtone metal clip-on nametag reading: "Buzz Aldrin/ Closing Bell Ceremony/ 'A Journey Beyond'/ July 13, 2009/ NYSE Euronext". The medal was awarded to and this tag was worn by Aldrin on the above date at the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange. On this occasion, Louis Vuitton commemorated the 40th anniversary of the first lunar landing with Aldrin and James Lovell ringing the closing bell along with Daniel Lalonde, President and CEO of Louis Vuitton North America. A color photo of that ceremony showing Aldrin wearing this badge is included with the lot. What a great item for the collection of a stock market investor. Excellent.
