Apollo-Soyuz Test Project Flown Embroidered Project Patch Originally from the Personal Collection of Gene Cernan, with His Signed Certificate of Authenticity, in Framed Display. A 4" diameter embroidered APOLLO / СОЮЗ patch nicely double matted with an artist rendition of the two crafts docked and an engraved brass plaque: "This mission patch was flown aboard the Apollo-Soyuz flight July 15-24, 1975. Carried by Apollo CDR Thomas D. Stafford. The first linkup of international spacecraft". Framed to an overall 18" x 20.5". Included with this lot is a full signed COA from the "Gene Cernan Garage Sale" stating, in part: "I certify that this Apollo-Soyuz mission patch was flown aboard that historic flight in 1975. Obviously, this patch was flown by Stafford and gifted to his friend and former (twice) crewmate. A great display remembrance of this historic mission marking the end of the "Space Race." Excellent.
