Apollo-Soyuz Test Project: Chris Kraft's Personal File on the November-December 1971 Moscow Planning Meeting, Directly from His Estate, with Certificate of Authenticity. A treasure trove of information regarding these early-days planning meetings, the third round that took place in Moscow (the previous two were in Houston). Dr. Kraft, Robert Gilruth, Glynn Lunney, and several others arrived on Saturday evening, November 27 and the meetings began in earnest on Monday. Included in the file are Kraft's very thorough handwritten notes in ink on lined 8" x 10.5" pages for:

11/29/1971: First session. Four pages covering speeches by B. N. Petrov, Bob Gilruth, K. D. Bushuyev, and Glynn Lunney.
12/2/1971: Executive meeting. Four+ pages, primarily dialog by Petrov and Gilruth.
12/4/1971: Saturday meeting. Four handwritten pages plus two pages with drawn diagrams. Mentions that next meeting will be Monday after visit to Star City.
12/6/1971: Final plenary session. Two pages. At close he mentions invitation to cocktail party that evening.
12/6/1971: Monday executive meeting. One page plus two pages of diagrams. At close, Kraft has written: "June '75- May not fit USSR schedule but they agree should be in summer".

Also included in this original file folder labeled "Visit to Russia 11-29 to 12-9 '71" is a list of the Soviet delegation both in Russian and English, a twenty-page scientific paper in English titled "Manual Control Of A Spacecraft" signed by the authors V. P. Legostaev and I. P. Shmyglevskiy, a dozen or so sales receipts (ТОВАРНЫЙ ЧЕК) from the trip, and a copy of a letter from Henry Kissinger to James Fletcher with great congratulatory content. Also, Dr. Kraft's badge from the conference with the name "КРАФТ КРИСТОФЕР" and a vintage NASA "red number" color photo, S-72-16114, of "Dr. Kraft and Konstantin Feoktistov in the Soyuz spacecraft simulator in Star City in 1972." An amazing archive of this trip which helped to lay a firm groundwork for this space race-ending mission. Generally fine.
