Description

    Apollo A7L glove.

Apollo Program: Training-Used A7L EVA Glove by ILC with Original Jim Irwin Tagging. A complete left-hand glove used by astronaut Jim Irwin, possibly as crew commander of LTA-8, or later in training as an Apollo 10 support crew member, or as the backup lunar module pilot for Apollo 12. The International Latex Corporation tag reads as follows: "ITEM 'Glove Assy I/TMG AT7L-203000-01' MODEL NO '2001A' SIZE 'Irwin' SERIAL '003' DATE '11/67' CONTRACT NO. 'NAS9-6100' 74897." The overall length is approximately 18.5" and it is 10.5" at the widest point of the cuff. The condition is quite rough with staining and multiple tears. A 5" x 2.5" "window" cut open in the palm area beautifully shows the multiple layers of material that make up the glove. A rare and desirable item for even the most advanced collector.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
