DescriptionApollo Operations Handbook Command and Service Modules NASA Book SM2A-03-BLOCK II-(2) and Apollo Sequential System Training Guide Originally from the Personal Collection of Astronaut Gordon Cooper. Volume 2 Operational Procedures. A 850+ page 8" x 10.5" five hole-punched book in its original large metal-hinged binder, dated 17 April 1969. Another rare and desirable volume containing copious amounts of information regarding crew procedures along with numerous single-page and foldout charts. The foreword explains its use: "This handbook contains the flight crew operational procedures for all active Block II spacecraft. Volume II constitutes the crew Normal/Backup, Abort, Malfunction and Emergency procedures. Normal procedures are defined as those used if all systems are operating normally. Backup procedures are those used to accomplish the objective of the normal procedures when system failure or some other anomaly prevents use of the normal procedures. Malfunction and Emergency procedures encompass the recognition, diagnosis, and corrective action for system malfunctions or failure." Fine.
Also included is a very interesting training tool that was found in this binder, from Apollo Logistics Training dated August 68. It is titled "Apollo Sequential System SC106" and consists of two cards made to function together to give detailed switch position readings as various situations (e.g. "Backup Crew Checklist", "Post CSM/LV Sep") are chosen. The top or outside piece consists of two 8.5" x 11" printed cards taped together with a graphic representation of a spacecraft control panel on each side, with multiple holes and one slot die cut on the front to show the information contained on the inside or slide card, 7.25" x 11", as it is moved up and down. The name "Cooper" is written at upper right. As backup commander for Apollo 10 (SC106), Cooper likely used this in training. Some soiling and wear, overall very good.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
