Apollo Command Module Environmental Control System Hardware: Two Breathing Oxygen Tube Assemblies, One with Temperature Sensor Attached, AiResearch Part 836950 (Contract NAS-9-150). Each of these tapered, elbow-shaped metal pipes is approximately 12" x 4.5" x 4.75" overall with gasketed locking-ring opening diameters of 3.5" on one end and 2.375" on the other. One has inspector stamps and numerous other stamps in various places giving the following information: "V36-613814-21/ 06362 AAC 2625/ Breathing Oxygen/ Oxygen PhDan 500 PSI", "V36-613814 8/67/ 06362 AAG 2899/ Breathing Oxygen/ Oxygen PhDan/ 5.00 PSI", and V36-613814-6/ H 6061-T6/ Lot Number/ 10091 SCT 0044". That unit has a device attached near the wide end with an AiResearch metal ID tag reading: "Sensor Temp/ Part 836950-1-1/ Serial 37-123..." The other is missing this attachment but has four fittings soldered on and the V36... number scratched on. This appears to be a tube that is attached to the oxygen suit supply port on the Environmental Control Unit. Please note that in the aviation world, a tube that carries material that is not dangerous within itself, but that is generally handled in a dangerous physical state of pressure or temperature, is identified by the marking "PhDan" (physically dangerous). Both show wear, fine.
