    Description

    Apollo Astronauts Matches Framed Display, Serial Number 1060, Directly from the Personal Collection of Astronaut Ron Evans. An elaborately framed display measuring 19.5" x 23" containing twelve total matchbooks with spaces for two additional- one for each manned Apollo flight plus one extra for Apollo 13 (one has the original crew, the other the flown crew). An engraved plate reads: "Each of these Apollo Covers are Original Covers Produced for the Prime Crew of Each Manned Apollo Flight. Registered on November 29, 1971" Excellent condition.

    Included with this lot is a signed Letter of Certification from Jan Evans (Mrs. Ron Evans) stating: "I certify that the framed set of UNITED STATES APOLLO ASTRONAUTS MATCHES, serial number 1060, is from the personal collection of Ron Evans, CMP Apollo 17. This set has been with our family since the flight of Apollo 17."
