Ex. Jim McDivitt
Apollo 9 Flown Texas State Flag Originally from the Personal
Collection of Mission Commander Jim McDivitt, Signed and Certified,
with Signed COA, in Framed Display by Novaspace. A 5.625" x 4"
cloth flag of the Lone Star State that flew into space aboard
Apollo 9, March 3-13, 1969, with crewmembers Jim McDivitt, Dave
Scott, and Rusty Schweickart. Texas, of course, is the home of the
Johnson Space Center, NASA's headquarters for manned spaceflight
activities. McDivitt has signed the flag on the white section in
black ink: "Flown on Apollo 9/ Jim McDivitt". Included with
the lot is his signed COA from Astronaut Central. Double matted in
suede with an embroidered mission insignia patch, a color photo,
and an engraved plaque to an overall 13.5" x 25". We rarely are
able to offer McDivitt flown material. Very fine. From the
collection of Lee Nunn.
