    Description

Apollo 8 Large Color Moon Photo Taken During Transearth Coast Signed by Walt Cunningham and Originally from His Personal Collection. A 15.5" x 19.5" photo on heavy and stiff stock of a nearly full moon, taken on December 22, 1968, from lunar orbit by Apollo 8, signed in silver ink in a dark area: "Apollo 8 - Christmas '68/ Walt Cunningham/ Apollo 7". This was, of course, the first manned lunar mission. The crew of Frank Borman, James Lovell, and Bill Anders entered lunar orbit on Christmas Eve, sending a television broadcast back to Earth. They headed towards home the next day. Signatures of Borman and Lovell could possibly be added if so desired. Full caption on verso. Part of a group of photos presented to Cunningham personally by Victor Hasselblad in 1972 during a special ceremony in Stockholm. Tiny holes at corners for hanging, excellent.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
