This 5.5" x 3.75" silk flag is signed on the red stripe, "Flown on board Apollo 8/ James Lovell". This world watched this mission in amazement: their Christmas Eve television broadcast from lunar orbit was the most watched TV program to that time and TIME Magazine named the three crewmembers their "Men of the Year" for 1968.
