Apollo 8 Flown Relics, Group of Three. Included: (1) A 2" x 0.5" piece of RTV-511 Silicone as used to seal gaps of interfacing aft and crew compartment heat shield joints; (2) A 1.375" x 0.5" diameter segment of the Astro Sextant inner ablator. This is a core sample and is not of the same material used for heat shield; and (3) A 1.875" x 0.5" diameter piece of a Conduit Tubing. This type of tubing was used extensively within the aft and forward compartment to house wiring of the CM Reaction Control System (RCS) engines, controller, water tank, and other systems. This piece shows discoloring and has RTV 560 adhesive indicating it was used next to the heat shield. All of these items were removed from the command module after the flight by the post flight test team of North American Rockwell Corporation. From the Jerald B. Wilken Space Collection; includes a group of five photocopies showing his association with the Apollo program, including published photos of him with the Apollo 7 and Apollo 8 command modules at the Rockwell facility in Downey, California.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
