    Description

Apollo 5: NASA Technical Information Summary Book and Flown Segment of LM-1 Propulsion Tank. An 8.5" x 11" staple-bound book of approximately seventy-two pages (printed one side only), numbered "R-ASTR-S-67-63" and dated December 15, 1967. The name "C. Bell" is handwritten at the top. A highly technical publication with numerous charts and illustrations. Very good. Also, a 2" x 0.5" metal segment attached to a Grumman tag with the following handwritten description: "Bob. Piece of propulsion tank from LM-1 which went into Earth orbit 1-22-68 when coming back thru Earth atmosphere exploded- large piece of tank landed in Venezuela and was returned to us. Bob E." Quite a rare piece of the first-ever Lunar Module. Fine. Also included are two 8.5" x 11" glossy color photos of Apollo 5- assembly and launchpad. From the family collection of the late Tom McFadden.
