    Description

Apollo 17 Crew-Signed Insurance "Type" Launch Cover. A philatelic cover with a pictorial postmark from Kennedy Space Center dated December 7, 1972. The color cachet features the mission insignia with the text "Kennedy Space Center, Florida" beneath. It is boldly signed around the emblem in black felt tip by the crew: "Gene Cernan", "H. H. Schmitt", and "Ron Evans". This was obtained from the Evans family a number of years ago and was possibly signed prior to the mission. Excellent.
