DescriptionApollo 16 Crew-Signed Insurance "Type" Cover Directly from the Personal Collection of Astronaut Michael Collins. A philatelic cover with an 8¢ "Flag" stamp affixed and bearing a pictorial machine cancellation from Kennedy Space Center on the launch date of April 16, 1972. The cachet features a color mission insignia with two astronaut pins beneath and the signatures are to the right: "John Young" (affected by the cancellation), "Ken Mattingly", and "Charlie Duke". On the verso flap, Collins has signed: "From my personal collection-/ Michael Collins". Inside the envelope is the original Apollo 16 fact card used as a stiffener. This differs from the known insurance covers that have come to market as to the stamp used and the positioning of the signatures. Excellent condition.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
