Offered here is a 6" x 4" cloth New York flag that was carried aboard Apollo 15 on its mission to the moon in 1971. A small paper tag reading "New York" is lightly stitched at the left edge; it could easily be removed. Excellent condition.
Included with this lot is a signed letter of authenticity on his letterhead, stating (in part): "I hereby certify that the New York State flag included with this letter and marked with my signature and flight number went to the moon aboard Apollo 15 in the spacecraft 'ENDEAVOUR'.
