A 1" x 1" piece of flown recording tape attached to a stunning 10" x 8" glossy photo presentation featuring a NASA photo of the Apollo 15 Command Module Endeavour in orbit above the moon along with the information: "This swatch of Data Tape was flown to the moon onboard the Apollo 15 spacecraft 'Endeavour' during July 1971 when in orbit around the moon for 145 hours". The verso of the presentation bears the signature of Florian Noller and the "18 of 50" numeration. Included are copies of several pages documenting the history of this tape. Excellent.
Included with this lot is a Certificate of Authenticity from Spaceflori Corporation signed by Florian Noller stating (in part): "This Collector's edition is of a swatch of data tape flown around the moon in the Apollo 15 command module in 1971."
