    Apollo 14 Lunar Module Flown Complete Lunar Bible Directly from the Personal Collection of Country Music Legend Bill Mack. A complete microform King James Bible, 1.5" square, produced by NCR (National Cash Register Company) and published by the World Publishing Company. This one was presented by Jim Stout to renowned country music singer, songwriter, and radio host Bill Mack on February 5, 1998. At the time Mack was hosting a syndicated religious radio program titled Country Crossroads. The gift was chronicled in Mr. Mack's autobiography: Bill Mack's Memories from the Trenches of Broadcasting. The bible is affixed to a 4.5" x 7.5" (sight size) certificate and beautifully double matted and framed to an overall 12" x 15". Printed directly underneath is the following:

    "This Is One Of The First Bibles To Have Been Taken From Planet Earth To Another Celestial Body. The First Bible On The Moon Landed On The Surface Of The Moon Aboard The Lunar Module Of The Apollo XIV Mission On February The Fifth Of The Year Nineteen Hundred And Seventy One.

    "Members of the Apollo Prayer League Employed at the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston Made the Mulitversion (sic) Special First Lunar Bible. Bible Societies In Fifty Different Countries United In Participating In The Project As Well As Commercial Bible Publishers.

    "The Above Bible Consisting Of 1,245 Pages Of The King James Version Was Carried On This Historic Mission. It Was Returned To Planet Earth To Be Presented By One Of The Persons Who Participated In The Making Of The First Lunar Bible Which Was Carried In The Spacesuit Of Astronaut Edgar D. Mitchell. The Above Microform Bible Is Presented To: Bill Mack By: "Jim Stout".
