Apollo 14 Flown Connecticut State Flag Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Lunar Module Pilot Edgar Mitchell, with Signed LOA. This 6" x 4" Connecticut flag flew to the moon aboard Apollo 14, January 31-February 9, 1971, with crewmembers Alan Shepard, Stuart Roosa, and Ed Mitchell. We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
