Apollo 14 Command Module Flown National Flag of Brazil Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Lunar Module Pilot Edgar Mitchell. Offered here is a 6" x 4" cloth Brazilian flag that was carried aboard Apollo 14 on its mission to the moon. Apollo 14 was the eighth manned Apollo mission and the third to land on the moon, touching down on February 5, 1971. This flag has a striking bold design with the center blue disc signifying a starry sky. Excellent condition.

Included in this lot is a signed Letter of Certification from Dr. Mitchell on his personal letterhead stating: "...[this] 'Country of Brazil' Flag (4" x 6"), was carried into lunar orbit aboard the Command Module Kittyhawk on the Apollo 14 mission to the Fra Mauro Highlands January 31 to February 9, 1971. It was in lunar orbit for 67 hours. This flag has been in my personal collection of Apollo memorabilia since that time. Enjoy it in remembrance of that historic period."

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
