DescriptionApollo 13 Unflown PF65 Ultra Cameo NGC Silver Franklin Mint Medal, Serial Number 0120, Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander James Lovell, with Signed LOA. This 38mm medallion features the mission insignia on the obverse depicting the name of the mission, three of Apollo's chariot horses flying toward the moon, and the slogan "Ex Luna, Scientia" ("from the moon, knowledge"). The reverse features images of and the text "Spacecraft Odyssey and Aquarius" and the crew's full names: "James A. Lovell Jr - Fred W. Haise Jr - Thomas K Mattingly". This is one of the only items that has been discovered to contain the names of the original crew (Mattingly was replaced at the last minute by Swigert). A beautiful and desirable medal.
Included with this lot is a signed Letter of Certification from Lovell on his company letterhead stating, in full: "I hereby certify that this Apollo 13 sterling silver Franklin Mint medal #0120, which also lists the original scheduled crew on its reverse, is one of 200 original specimens that were supposed to be on aboard the mission April 11-17, 1970. This medal is from my personal collection and has been in my possession since the mission until being offered now."

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
HA.com receives more traffic than any other auction house website. (Source: Similarweb.com)
