    Apollo 13 Unflown Large Section of Mylar Foil Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander James Lovell, Signed, with Signed LOA. A 12" square piece of gold Mylar with a printed label applied reading: "Cradle of Aviation 10/16/2008. A Piece of LM 13 for the Crew of Apollo 13. Commander James Lovell. LM Pilot Fred Haise. It is signed in black felt tip: "James Lovell" on this label. The autograph of Fred Haise could possibly be added if desired. Stored with one vertical fold, excellent.

    Included with this lot is a signed Letter of Certification from Lovell on his company letterhead stating, in full: "This piece of Mylar was saved during the construction of the Lunar Module. Mylar is used for heat protection during space travel. This was presented to the Apollo 13 crew on October 16, 2008. Apollo 13 perilous flight took off on April 11 and returned safely on April 17, 1970. This was from my personal collection of space artifacts and has been in my possession since receiving it in 2008."
