Apollo 13 Training-Used Cue Card Signed and Certified by Mission Lunar Module Pilot Fred Haise. A 6.25" x 7.75" heavyweight cue card dated March 24, 1970. On one side are the topics "DPS Abort/ Insertion", "APS Abort/ Insertion", and "Abort Rules" and it is signed: "Used in training./ Procedures covering/ various abort/ modes during/ landing descent/ Fred Haise/ Apollo 13 LMP". The headers on the verso included "Staging" and "DPS Abort/APS Insertion". Cue cards as a quick reference for key actions during specific events in the flight. Pearson was the Simulator Instructor (Aerospace Engineer/ Flight Systems) and was responsible for maintaining all of the checklists, maps, and cue cards used during training for each mission. Light soiling and signs of use, otherwise fine.

Included with this lot is a photocopy of a signed Letter of Authenticity from Robert Pearson. It reads, in part: "I was employed with the Manned Spacecraft Center of NASA during the entire Apollo Program as a Simulator Instructor... I certify that this set of cue cards was used by the Apollo 13 Lunar Module Prime crew (Lovell and Haise) and Backup crew (Young and Duke) during training in the LMS prior to the flight of Apollo 13." Only one card from the set mentioned is offered here.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
