Apollo 13 Flown "TLI No Go's" Quick Reference Two-Sided Checklist Cue Card Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander James Lovell, Signed and Certified, with Signed LOA. A 6" x 5.75" (overall) heavyweight printed (both sides) placard dated March 16, 1970, titled "TLI NO GO'S" at top of verso. It is signed just beneath this title in black ink: "S/C failures that would/ prevent flight to the moon/ from earth orbit/ James Lovell" and there are four strips of Velcro for mounting to the spacecraft control panel. It lists thirty-eight functions that the loss of which would prevent the craft from safely performing the translunar injection, a "go" or "no go" decision. The front side gives instructions regarding failures upon launch and through the first twelve minutes of the flight until the Earth orbit insertion. There are some figures written on this side, done during the mission. Cue cards were made to fit in a specific location on the panels and provide a quick source of information for the crew during various problems and procedures. They are rarely offered and extremely desirable. Lightly soiled and some minor warping to the cardboard, very fine.

Included with this lot is a signed Letter of Certification from Lovell on his company letterhead stating, in full: "I certify that this Checklist was posted on the instrument panel for quick reference in case of failure on launch. Other side failure that would preclude going into lunar orbit (TLI). Apollo 13 perilous flight took off on April 11 and returned safely on April 17, 1970. This checklist was from my personal collection of space artifacts and has been in my possession since the mission."

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
