Apollo 13 Flown Command Module Door Shim. A 2.625" x 2.5" odd-shaped metal part with the numbers printed at top: "V36-553019/ 340-67-NC". Included is a color photocopy of a North American Rockwell "Temporary Parts Removal Tag". Apollo 13's journey to a moon landing was interrupted by an oxygen tank explosion in the service module forcing emergency procedures that brought the spacecraft back to earth by using the moon's gravity like a slingshot. The whole world watched as the three brave astronauts successfully splashed down after their eventful six day flight. A rare flown relic from this mission deemed a "successful failure." Excellent condition.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
