    Apollo 12 Lunar Module Flown Crewman Optical Alignment Sight Light Bulb Assembly Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander Pete Conrad, with Signed LOA. Approximately 1.75" long with a 1.625" diameter top, manufactured by "Jay-El Products Inc" of Gardena, California, as printed on the cylinder along with the part and lots numbers (see below). A component of an important piece of equipment used both during the descent to the moon and the re-docking with the Command Module Yankee Clipper. Bulb still intact, not tested. Includes NASA diagrams of the COAS and its use. Excellent condition. From the Steven R. Belasco Collection of Space Memorabilia.

    Included with this lot is a handwritten and signed Letter of Authenticity on his personal note card stating: "The 'Crewman Optical Alignment Sight (COAS) Light Bulb Assembly', Part Number B50258-1, Lot Number 04950L643A01-147, was flown to the lunar surface aboard the Lunar Module Intrepid during the flight of Apollo XII. The COAS which I used to help locate our Surveyor landing site. It logged over 31 hours on the moon's surface during November 19-20, 1969. The bulb is listed on page 42 of the Apollo XII stowage list [copy of page included with lot]. It has been in my personal collection since I returned from the moon."
