Description

Apollo 12 Flown Large American Flag on a Crew-Signed Mat in a Framed Display, Originally from the Personal Collection of Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean, Signed and Certified. An 11.25" x 7.75" cloth U.S. flag mounted on a 19.5" x 15.5" (sight size) mat above a 3.875" embroidered mission insignia patch (unflown) and an engraved plaque bearing the text: "Apollo XII/ Sailed aboard Yankee Clipper & Apollo XII to the Moon/ November 14-24, 1969". Bean has signed on the lower white stripe of the flag: "Flown to the Moon/ Apollo XII Nov. 1969/ Alan Bean". The mat is signed in the lower area by the entire Apollo 12 crew: "Charles Conrad Jr", "Dick Gordon", and "Alan Bean". Framed to an overall 21" x 17". These larger flags are quite desirable for their scarcity and display appeal. Excellent.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
