Apollo 12 Command Module Flown Food Packet Signed by and from the Collection of Mission Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean. A small vacuum-sealed packet, 5" x 3.5", containing eight cube-shaped "Toasted Bread Cubes" that flew in lunar orbit on America's second manned lunar landing mission. Bean has written on the plastic, "Flown to the/ moon in Yankee Clipper/ Nov. 1969/ Alan Bean/ Apollo 12 LMP". Also included with this lot is a handwritten letter on his personal letterhead, stating: "I certify that the food packet of 'Toasted Bread Cubes' identified by the numbers #9023 and WSD 16 flew aboard Yankee Clipper, our command module, into lunar orbit, 60 miles above the moon, on our Apollo 12 mission in November 12/24, 1969. Alan Bean Lunar Module Pilot Apollo 12". There is also a 4" x 6.75" photo of Bean holding the packet. Excellent condition save for a tiny smear on the packet's signature, mentioned for strict accuracy.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
