Apollo 12 Bullseye World Tour: Indonesian Sterling Silver Tea Canisters with Tray Presented to and Directly from the Personal Collection of Sue Bean. A beautiful set of three highly decorative repoussé pieces: a 10.5" diameter tray, a 4" tall x 3" diameter canister, and a 4.75" tall x 3.5" diameter canister. All are marked on the bottom: "STI 925 INDONESIA". Both canisters feature the national emblem of Indonesia with the motto: "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" (Unity in Diversity) in a ribbon gripped by the mythological Garuda bird. These were presented to the astronauts' wives during the February 15 - March 26, 1970, world tour. Total weight approximately 34 troy ounces. Excellent.

Included with this lot are two 10" x 8" original and official glossy color photos taken during the tour's stop in Indonesia. One is of the party deplaning, the other of the wives at a reception.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
