Description

    Apollo 12 Archive of Original NASA Publications and Memorandums, Several Originally from the Collection of Mission Command Module Pilot Richard Gordon. If you have an extra 8" of room on a shelf in your Space library and have a serious interest in the Apollo 12 mission, this is the lot for you. Approximately thirty-four period books, manuals, and memos, both pre- and post-flight, that tell the behind-the-scenes story of America's second lunar landing. The first few listed, all post-flight, have the name "Gordon" written at the top right of the front covers, some possibly read and studied by him. As follows:

    MSC-1252. Date-stamped December 2, 1969, 8" x 10.5", single staple-bound between cardstock covers, 29 pages. "Gordon" written in red ink.
    "Apollo 12 Problem and Discrepancy List".
    Dated December 16, 1969, 8" x 10.5", single staple-bound, unpaginated. "Gordon" written in black felt tip.
    "Apollo 12 30-Day Failure and Anomaly Listing Report".
    MSC-01289. Date-stamped December 29, 1969, 8" x 10.5", staple-bound between cardstock covers, 51 pages. "Gordon" written in red ink.
    "Apollo 12 Problem and Discrepancy List".
    Dated January 9, 1970, 8" x 10.5", single staple-bound, 66 pages. "Gordon" written in red ink. (There are three additional multi-page memos to the Apollo 12 Mission Evaluation Team with "CB/R. Gordon" written in red ink at upper right.)
    "AS-507 'H' Mission Launch Vehicle Operational Trajectory for a December 1969 Launch".
    Contractor Report 61311. Dated October 1969, 8.5" x 11", staple-bound between cardstock covers, 348 pages.
    "Recovery Requirements Apollo 12".
    Dated October 3, 1969, 8" x 10.5", five-hole punched, staple-bound between cardstock covers, 86 pages.
    "AS-507 'H' Mission Launch Vehicle Operational Trajectory for a November 16, 1969 Launch".
    MFT-2-69. Date-stamped October 7, 1969, 8.5" x 11", staple-bound, 242 pages, back cover possibly missing.
    "Prelaunch Mission Operation Report Apollo 12 (AS-507)".
    M-932-69-12. Dated November 5, 1969, 8" x 10.5", three-hole punched, single-staple bound, 67 pages.
    "Press Kit Apollo 12".
    69-148. Dated November 5, 1969, 8" x 10.5", single-staple bound, 104 pages.

    by Mission Planning and Analysis Division. No date, 10" x 8.5", single-staple bound, every page is a single-sided chart or graphic.
    "Apollo 12 Technical Crew Debriefing (U)".
    Serial numbered "000030". Classified document, 8" x 10.5", staple bound between cardstock covers, 294 pages.
    Analysis of Surveyor 3 Material and Photographs Returned by Apollo 12. (Washington, D.C.: Scientific and Technical Information Branch, NASA, 1972). Softbound book, 8" x 10", 295 pages.
    There are numerous other publications included here. A space historian's goldmine. Generally very good, a very few have some minor dampstaining.
