Apollo 11: NASA A7L Spacesuit "Familiarization and Operations Manual", April 8, 1968, Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, Certified by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty with a Photo Certificate. "Control Copy No. 37" as stamped on the title page of this bound manual of approximately ninety-five pages (single-sided), 8.5" x 11", inside a maroon folder. From the introduction:

"This manual is prepared under Contract No. NAS 9-6100 for use by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and ILC Industries, Inc. (ILCI) personnel designated to operate or handle the Apollo Block II, A7L Pressure Garment Assembly (PGA)... This manual provides familiarization information and operating procedures pertinent to the A7L design and shall be used as reference in support of this equipment..."

There are numerous illustrations and detailed specifications on this suit that was used on the Apollo 7 through Apollo 14 missions (and in a modified version for Apollo 15-17, Skylab and ASTP). This manual was issued to the appropriate astronauts for familiarization of the Pressure Garment Assembly; it does not cover the Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) or Portable Life Support System (PLSS) in depth. An incredible historical reference from the files of the man who wore this spacesuit as the world watched in awe. Very fine. This lot will include an encapsulated CAG Photo Certificate with a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
