Description

Apollo 11 Lunar Module Flown Camera Film Fragment on Moon Landing Cover. A tiny triangular-shaped piece (approximately 0.125" x 0.125") of photographic film that was part of a roll carried to the surface of the moon on the Lunar Module Eagle. It is mounted to a philatelic cover with a NASA Manned Spacecraft Center Stamp Club cachet, bearing an "Apollo 8" 6ยข stamp, and cancelled on July 20, 1969, at Houston, Texas, the date of the first manned lunar landing. Included is a photocopy of a printed certificate for the piece of film from which this was excised, signed by Franklin R. Reinking of Eastman Kodak and John W. Holland of NASA, giving history of the film. This certificate is signed and certified as #38 of the limited edition by Florian Noller of Spaceflori.com. He has also signed and certified the back of the cover. Very fine.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
