    Description

    Apollo 11 Lunar Module Descent Monitoring Chart used in Mission Training, Directly from The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. A seven panel, 8" x 73.5" (overall), B&W lunar surface map photographically printed on a durable and fire resistant material called Cronoplaque. The first panel bears the following label on the verso: "Descent Monitoring Chart/ SEB32100025-006/ 16 July, Site 2/ Training Copy/ Updated 26 June". The legend on map reads: "Edition 1/ LM Descent Monitoring Chart - Sheet 2/ 16 July 1969 Launch Date - Landing Site No. 2". The seven panels are connected on the back with transparent tape, easily opened and re-folded for easy inspection of the various sections. These were produced exclusively for training and are quite scarce and collectible. Coming from Armstrong's collection makes it a prize for any collector. Displayable. Very fine. CAG 1002026-011. This lot will include an encapsulated CAG Photo Certificate with a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
