    Description

    "The heroes of the moon"

Apollo 11 Crew-Signed German Postcard Celebrating Their 1969 Visit. A 5.875" x 4.125" postcard with the headline: "Die Helden Vom Mond" (The Heroes of the Moon) and reading "1969 in Deutschland" along with images of each astronaut. It is postmarked with a pictorial cancellation in Berlin on October 13, 1969, and boldly signed in black felt tip: "Neil Armstrong", "M Collins", and "Buzz Aldrin". In late September 1969, the Apollo 11 crew, along with their wives and entourage, embarked on a Goodwill Tour of the World. Their schedule had them in Berlin on October 13th where they received a warm welcome. A very special memento of this visit. Excellent.
