Apollo 11: Collection of Thirteen Vintage Covers Including Rare Launch, Signed, Recovery, and First Day Types. A fine grouping of mostly oversize covers, many of which we've not previously encountered. As follows.
July 16, 1969: A #10 cover with an outstanding cachet issued by the TWA Apollo Support Team bearing a single "Apollo 8" stamp with a pictorial cancellation at Kennedy Space Center.
July 20, 1969: (Two) A #6 cover with an Astro Covers cachet and a #10 cover with a B&W photo cachet, stamped "Jet Press" on the flap. Both are signed by Apollo 11 Support Crew member Ron Evans and bear a single "Apollo 8" stamp cancelled pictorially at Cape Canaveral.
July 21, 1969: A British #7 cover with color Stuart's cachet and "First Man On The Moon" cancellation at Southampton.
July 24, 1969: (Three) A #7 cover with a scarce printed cachet addressed from a member of the crew to his wife; a #7 cover with the standard "U.S. Navy Recovery Force" stamped cachet, typed address; and a #10 cover with the same stamped cachet, unaddressed. All are cancelled aboard the U.S.S. Hornet, the recovery ship for the Apollo 11 crew.
September 9, 1969: (Six) Two #7 covers, one with an ArtCraft cachet, and four #10 covers, one in German. All bear single "First Man On The Moon" stamps and are first day-cancelled.
July 20, 1990: A #7 anniversary cover with a color photo cachet, signed by three important members of the Mission Control team, Glynn Lunney, Chris Kraft, and Gene Kranz.
Generally fine or better. From the Apollo 11 collection of Ronald Ulrich.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
