Description

    Includes the iconic "visor" photo

Apollo 11: Collection of Eight Original NASA "Red Number" Lunar Color Photos (plus One "Blue Number"). All are vintage chromogenic 10" x 8" prints on Kodak fiber-based paper bearing the "A Kodak Paper" watermarks on the verso. As follows.
AS11-37-5545: American flag, taken from inside the LM.
AS11-40-5868: Aldrin descending the LM ladder. Two minor dents.
AS11-40-5872: Aldrin deploying the Solar Wind Collector.
AS11-40-5884: Pan 2 frame, lunar surface.
AS11-40-5903: The very familiar photo of Aldrin with Armstrong's image visible in his visor, red number is light as printed.
AS11-40-5929: Aldrin removing the seismometer experiment from the SEQ Bay.
AS11-40-5946: Aldrin adjusting the seismometer package on the surface, red number light as printed.
AS11-44-6642: The LM, taken from the CSM, earth in the background.
AS11-36-5355 (Blue Number): Earth view during translunar coast.
A very desirable grouping. All excellent with minor flaws mentioned above.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
