Apollo 11 Book CBS. 10:56:20 PM EDT 7/20/69. The historic conquest of the moon as reported to the American people by CBS News over the CBS Television Network. (New York: Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc., 1970). A fabulous "coffee table" book with its original presentation card and introductory note from Richard W. Jencks, president of CBS/ Broadcast Group. Our nation stayed up that July night in 1969, eyes glued to the TV screen, as everyone's favorite newscaster Walter Cronkite carefully explained each nuance of the most amazing event of our generation. This book takes you back to that magical time with photos, text, and broadcast transcripts. The book is generally fine; the lunar crater-embossed dust jacket is protected with a Mylar cover and is lightly worn.
