    Description

    Flown in Snoopy

Apollo 10 Lunar Module Flown LM Charm on Tie Clasp Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander Tom Stafford, with Signed Letter of Authenticity. A 0.75" x 0.625" silver-colored representation of the lunar module that flew aboard Snoopy to within 50,000 feet of the moon during this dress rehearsal for Apollo 11. It was later attached to an "Apollo X" tie clasp, 2" long overall. A great relic of this important mission. Very fine.

Included with this lot is a signed LOA on Stafford, Burke and Hecker letterhead reading, in full: "The small LM on this tie tack was carried to within 50,000 feet of the Moon's surface in the Lunar Module 'Snoopy' during the flight of Apollo 10 - May 18 to 26, 1969."

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
