Apollo 10 Flown Command Module Rendezvous Window Frame Ablator with Rockwell Parts Removal Tag. This 0.75" thick odd-shaped gasket, 10" x 19.5" overall, is from one of the forward viewing (or rendezvous) windows next to the crew access hatch on Apollo Spacecraft S/C 106. The 2.875" x 5.625" North American Rockwell "Temporary Parts Removal Tag" bears the following handwritten information along with various NASA inspector stamps: Part Number V36-321400-28; Authority ATR 522400 Rem #226; Model Number Window Frame Ablator; Mark for Shipment of PFT S/C 106 6/25/69. The window frame also bears a tiny sticker with an inspector stamp "NAM 14" which matches one of those on the tag. Apollo 10, crewed by Tom Stafford, John Young, and Gene Cernan, was the "dress rehearsal" flight for the first manned lunar landing. A very important and rare piece of space history, one that flew the farthest away from Earth of all the Apollo missions and also the fastest. Unflown Apollo 10 patch included. Rough, well-used condition, one separation but not all the way through. Good.
