DescriptionAlan Bean Signed Limited Edition "Monet's Moon" Giclée Canvas. #104/125, from the Calle Family Collection. An 11" x 16" color canvas print on a wooden stretcher. Issued in 2017 from an original 1992 acrylic painting by Bean, signed lower right in silver ink: "Alan Bean 104/125". Greenwich Workshop COA included. This is only the second example of this print Heritage has offered. Excellent.
Bean describes this work: "Monet's Moon was painted with my favorite artist in mind. I studied a print of one of Monet's Rouen Cathedral series created in reds, violets, and blues. I then repainted the Moon with Monet's colors, this time without regard to mountains and craters."
