    Description

Alan Bean Signed Limited Edition "First Men: Neil A. Armstrong" Giclée Paper Print, #25/200, in Framed Display. An 18.5" x 26.5" print from a 2012 painting showing Neil Armstrong, with camera, standing on the lunar surface. Signed in black ink: "Alan Bean 25/200". Nicely matted and framed by Novaspace to an overall 24.5" x 32.5". Greenwich Workshop COA included. Excellent.

Bean describes the image in the lower border: "I guess every astronaut wanted to be the first man on the Moon. I know I did. And if we couldn't be the first, we at least wanted to be one of the first. Apollo 11's crew got the opportunity to make the initial attempt. Neil, Buzz and Mike flew a perfect flight and went into the history books; but all 400,000 Americans that helped make Apollo a success are in that history, too. I think this painting is exactly how Astronaut Neil Arms rig looked as he took the now-iconic photo of his lunar companion, Buzz Aldrin."
