Print and COA both signed by the fourth man on the moon

Alan Bean Signed Large Limited Edition "Straightening our Stripes" Lithograph, #516/550. A 30" x 23" print (overall) signed and numbered "516/550" by Bean; it shows Neil Armstrong deploying the American flag on the moon. It is from a 1985 painting and the original print issue date was 1999. This is the first time Heritage has offered this long sold-out title. The original Greenwich Workshop folder and COA are included. Please note that the COA has also been authentically signed by the artist, in blue felt tip: "Alan Bean/ Apollo 12". Excellent.

Bean describes the image in the accompanying certificate of authenticity: "July 20, 1969 - The Sea of Tranquility. Neil Armstrong's first step may have been for all mankind but the Apollo program that put Neil and Buzz Aldrin on the moon was an American one. To many astronauts, the flag represented the best efforts of a nation that rose to and met President John F. Kennedy's challenge of landing a man on the moon"
