    (Space Shuttle) NASA's First Three African-American Astronauts in Space: Signed Cover Matted and Framed with Color Photo. A 1978-dated "Viking missions to Mars" First Day Cover with a Colorano "Silk" cachet picturing the three astronauts who have signed it in black inks as follows:
    "Guion S. Bluford Jr", the first African-American in space (STS-8, STS-61-A, STS-39, STS-53);
    "Fred Gregory", the first African-American to pilot and command a Space Shuttle mission (STS-51-B, STS-33, STS-44); and
    "Ronald E. McNair", perished in the Challenger disaster (STS-41-B, STS-51-L).
    The cover is nicely double matted with a 9.25" x 7.25" (sight size) NASA color orange spacesuit photo of the three together and archivally framed to an overall 14.5" x 17.5". The first such item Heritage has offered. Excellent.
